'Autumn Memories' to vie at Torino Film Festival

TEHRAN, Sep. 16 (MNA) –After 7 successful participations at international festivals, the three-nation production ‘Autumn Memories’ directed by an Iranian filmmaker will compete at 35th edition of the Torino Film Festival.

After a successful show at Kolkata International Film Festival, Ali Fakhr Mousavi’s feature, Autumn Memories will go to the Torino Film Festival, the eight international competition of film.

Shot in Ukraine, the movie was jointly produced by Seyyed Amir Seyyedzadeh from Iran and Victor Wilhelm from the Czech Republic.

Fakhr Mousavi’s movie will be screened at Greenwich Theater of Torino city on November 24.

The 35th edition of the festival will kick off on November 24, and the event will be wrapped up on December 02 after honoring the picked works in the closing ceremony.

Filmmaker from Italy, France, Russia and other countries submit their works at the renowned event.

Autumn Memories is an anti-war love story about a girl whose family and home come under terrorist attacks. The girl goes through displacement, loss of eyesight and even loss of speech, but manages to find love and peace in another corner of the world among the people who have also been affected by war.

Fakhr Mousavi’s film has so far won a number of international awards from various festivals and was the opening film for Rivne International Film Festival ‘Dream City’ 2016 in Ukraine.
